- onsen (alone, rather than with a bunch of grumpy ojiisan nearby)- the smell of slightly mouldy pesto- Glastonbury sunrise- hearing a siren go past and wondering where it's going- putting on a suit- being plucked by a cat- thinking 'it's a bit dark and gloomy in here' until you remember you haven't opened the curtains yet. When you do, the natural light comes flooding in.- seeing a really funny new piece of graffiti on the south bank- the decadence of devoting an entire sunday to cups of tea and the sunday papers (even better if you have a good hangover)- walking through big cities in the daytime- rediscovering a band you haven't listened to for years and, oh!, they're as good as I remember!I'll stop now. Bad form to have a comment longer than the post.
You've really started something here............having the beach to yourself on a blustery winter's day and watching the grey sea crashing inanything to do with Christmasa log fire (especially at Christmas)that wet dewy smell very early on a Spring morningthe thud on the mat which means you've got lots of posteating fish and chips on the beach whilst watching a blood-red sunsetwatching a good drama on tv with a glass of wine in your hand
